Do you have an IP address on the production VLAN? You may be able to connect to that over a normal port instead of the management port and use the web interface or SSH. Note that the web interface on the S2500 is quite limited, and if what you want to do can be done that is fine, but some changes are only possible over SSH/Serial console.
How do you connect to the management port? UTP Cross cable? Or is the management port connected to another switch?
Using the serial console may be another alternative. Also frame errors may have to do with a bad cable.

Subject: ArubaS2500 loosing connection on management interface
I have been running my ArubaS2500-24P-US with out any problems for a little over 2 years now. I need to make a change to a vlan and log in with the web interface. As I was going to configuration a message popped up saying cant query networkerror. A refresh cleared the error and I was able to continue as I moved around I saw this happen a few more times. I tried this from another machine and saw the same issue. I logged in with SSH and while I got connected after a few minutes I lost connection.
This is a strange one as normal network activity is fine and its just accessing the management interface. Not sure how to trouble shoot this one I was looking in wireshare and saw that I was getting frame errors initiates the connection closing
