I believe you need to have a gateway in your group and have the basics configured.
So I suggest that you get your BGW up and running by configuring the system IP, and relevant VLAN for WAN/LAN and then enable IGMP on your VLANs.

yes branch gateways support enabling IGMP.

Does anyone know if it is possible to enable IP IGMP on a L3 interface of a Branch Gateway to facilitate IGMP snooping for a downstream L2 switch?
The only option I can find is 'broadcast multicast optimization' on the VLAN configuration, but this doesn't seem to enable the querier.
