  • 1.  Campus AP 503 vs Instant on AP 22

    Posted Mar 17, 2025 05:16 AM

    hey everyone,

i currently have Aruba 503 AP implemented in my customers network and i am considering moving to Aruba instant on AP 22 and i wanted to ask if there is any experience you had with both to see which is better for a situation like mine.

my customer has 8 rooms and a lobby most traffic is via phone or a streamer and i want to create an environment that is easy to manage remotely and would provide high performance to the customer while of course customer satisfaction is up first.

(today i manage all of my AP 503 via airwave server that i have locally in my dc)

any advice what AP is better for the normal day to day use?

AP 22 is InstantOn (SMB product that is only managed via cloud/app), not Instant.

    hey,

yes i am aware of that but is there any benefit to use the AP 22 in a situation like mine instead of AP 503?

The benefit is going to be the different management model of the InstantOn product, which is aimed at customers that don't have an IT department or don't have the knowledge or desire to manage something more complex like Instant or AOS.

There are a lot of things which need to be taken into consideration.
Aruba Instant APs and Campus AP are more of  Enterprise deployments with more complex integration, offering scalability and more complex integrations.
Aruba InstantON Portfolio are very good for SMBs and where use-cases are very plain and simple. Easiest to manage, very robust and perfect for easy management.

Aruba InstantON is cloud managed and it is very user-friendly. For related topics to Aruba InstantON you have a separate community:

So for small end-customers of 8 APs , easy management, less headache, i would recommend to go with InstantONs.
