Can LIC-ENT be purchased in any count of choice?

    Its understood that LIC-ENT is the bundle of these licenses: LIC-AP, LIC-PEF, LIC-RFP and LIC-AW.

     

    If the requirement is as low as to support 6 APs only, can I procure LIC-ENT for 6 APs or it has to be amongst some pre-defined count.

    Yes, you can purchase the licenses in the quantities that you need.

    So if you had 6 access points, you would purchase a quantity of 6 LIC-ENT.

    Aruba changed their licensing policy some time ago, so purchasing the LIC-ENT does not give you any cost savings. The LIC-ENT just makes it easier and cleaner when ordering.

    So instead of having a line item on your Bill Of Material (BOM) for:
    6 - LIC-AP - $75 each
    6 - LIC-PEF - $75 each
    6 - LIC-RFP - $75 each
    6 - LIC-AW - $75 each

    You can have:
    6 - LIC-ENT - $300 each

    In the past, Aruba used to offer small discounts if you ordered the licenses in certain quantities. Those days are over.
