Try connecting the AP to an isolated VLAN with DHCP, no internet access.
This will ensure that there is no external service causing an issue with activation.
If you hold the reset button and apply power, the lights will flash to indicate the reset is successful.

Subject: Cant factory reset Aruba 505 AP
Hi ,
I am currently unable to factory reset an Aruba 505 access point. I have verified that the access point is not onboarded in any Aruba Central account, yet the reset process does not complete successfully.
Steps already taken:
- Attempted a hard reset using the reset button.
- Verified the AP is not connected to any controller or management platform.
- Ensured correct procedures were followed, such as holding the reset button for the recommended duration.
I don't know what possibly could be the issue.
Any troubleshooting guidance or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you.
