Hello,
We are changing the ISP for our "Guest" network SSID which is using a captive portal (controller 7205 ArubOS 6.5.3). The clients are getting DHCP from the Firewall which is working (Clients are getting IP addresses from DHCP) but clients are not getting the captive portal. The only change being made is to the external interface on the firewall. The VPN on the aurba is on a dedicated port which is connected to the internal interface on the firewall. If I go back to the original ISP everything works.
Thanks in Advance!
Marc
Network diagram please?
Also, where does the VPN come into the picture?
EDIT:
Does the controller have an ip address on the guest network?
Is the ip cp-redirect-address pointed to that ip address?

Hi,
The VPN is on the Aruba, the Guest network is separate from the internal network. The VPN and port on the Aruba does not have an IP address I did try adding one to see if that would solve the issue but it did not.
Thanks
Can your clients resolve DNS when they are on the new ISP? What device is the guest client's default gateway on the new ISP?
Clients cannot resolve DNS. The defualt gateway is the firewall
Joseph,
Thanks you were right it was a DNS issue. My firewall was using a comcast DNS server which would not work on Verizon. I switched to a Google DNS server and it is working! Thanks for you help
