Hi,

We are trying to do a lab with Aruba central and Mobility GW v8.9 ( Virtual EVAL MGW), but when we tried to add the Mobility GW SN and MAC to central portal, it says the SN is not available.

any idea how to add it?

Central does not support gateways/controllers on AOS 8.x, just on AOS 10.

The scenario where gateways are supported in Central and AOS 8.x is SD-Branch, but there the recommended version is AOS-10. Virtual gateways are just supported as VPNC (VPN concentrator) as far as I know.

Thank you for your answer, so if I wanted a fully fledged mobility controller over central I should go with AOS10 ?

and I was trying to have a lab for upcoming project with a customer.

Yes, however in the AOS10 architecture the controller is no longer controlling the access-points, Central is doing that. For that reason the controller is named a gateway in AOS10, and performs the tunneling/VLAN overlay with stateful firewall (and a few more non-controlling tasks).
