  • 1.  Channel 120-132 Usage

    Posted May 04, 2012 09:49 AM

    Hi,

I see in the Aruba design guide for high density wlans that channel 120-132 is not allowed for US and most of the world.

When I look at the allowed channels on the controller it shows something different.

So what is it then?  Are they allowed or not?

    Thanks

Here is a document that describes " interim plans to approve UNII devices operating in the 5470 - 5725 MHz band with radar detection and DFS capabilities"

They are allowed, depending on ap, but most clients do not scan for them, so they are not advised in most situations.
