  • 1.  Clearpass API Endpoint Hostname

    Hi all,

I am using the Clearpass API to get an overview of our authenticated Desktops/Laptops (which are corporate managed), this based on hostname. For wired we use machine authentication (via certificate), so the username is the hostname. For wireless we use user authentication (via certificate). So the username is the logonname, and that's why i can't use this attribute for wireless.

The hostname is stored in the Endpoint database (can see it via the GUI), this because we forward the DHCP requests also to Clearpass. Is there a method to use this information via the API as well? Or to store the Hostname received via the DHCP request as attribute?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Kind regards,

    Danny

That is from DHCP and is unfortunately not available via the API today.

Is there a method to save this information as a seperate attribute in the endpoint database?
