  • 1.  Clearpass Cluster 6.8.3 license issue

    Hi All We have a Clearpass cluster with 6.8.3 When i check the licenses , Access license says that could not be activated: Action Status: This Activation Request Token is already in use by another instance Product Name: Access License Type: Permanent User Count: 5000 Could you please help? Since this is a cluster and we have a publisher and a subscriber, the licenses are on both Clearpass instances? Regards

    Is this new setup and copied licenses from old servers? If yes then we need to first deactivate licenses which are mapped to old server inorder to activate it again online.

     

    Open TAC ticket with your license info, they help in deactivating licenses.

    In a publisher-subscriber model, you only activate the access/onboard/onguard licenses on the publisher. If you do so, they are shared across all nodes in your cluster.

     

    If you tried to activate the same license on both nodes, that may be why you get the message that the license is already activated on another system.

     

    For everyone reading and having license (activation) issues, please contact Aruba Support for any licensing related questions as they can see in backend systems what is the status and what may have gone wrong.

    The problem seems that Before doing the cluster I had the license installed on both Clearpass instances.


    Can I uninstall the license from the subscriber?


    Because that ont the Publisher i can´t also activate the license

    Hi Herman trying that but Clearpass VM does not have Serial number to open TAC. maybe only by phone

    I would indeed call them if you can't open a case through the portal.
