John,
Unfortunately what has happened a few times in the past is that between the Beta and release of new Mac/IOS versions significant changes are done so just testing with the beta versions is no guarantee that everything works with the released version.
I heard that OnGuard on Big Sur has been successfully tested with ClearPass 6.8.7 and an upcoming 6.9 (6.9.4?) should be tested with Big Sur as well. What is still unknown is support for the new hardware with the M1 processor, as our labs did not have that hardware, but for Intel Macbooks 6.8.7 is expected to work.
Please reach out to Aruba TAC if you need a more definitive answer or guidance, or if you are on ClearPass 6.8.7 and see your described issues.

Subject: clearpass OnGuard and Mac Big Sur
After upgrading to Mac OS Big Sur, Clear Pass OnGuard will no longer connect to the server. The log shows the message "ClearPass server is unreachable."
Is there any solution to this?
It is odd that as long as Big Sur has been in beta, Aruba did not address this prior to release.
thanks,
john
