Symptom: Clients get disconnected after roaming although auto connect is enabled. Scenario: This issue is observed in access points running ArubaOS 8.0.1.0 or later versions. Workaround: None.

When the client Android with 7.1.2 change AP lost connection, its the problem. This happens with Aruba AP318 with OS version 8.3.0 with controller.

That bug 183034 only occurs when users have a multizone setup.  Are you running a multizone setup?  If not, there are quite a few things that might cause a TC20 or any handheld in a warehouse to disconnect or not have a good roaming experience.  Has this ever worked?

    Hi,

What do you mean with multizone setup in users? I have multiple SSID configured in controller.

    thanks

If you had Multizone, you would know it.

Your issue probably does not have anything to do with that bug.  Has your setup ever worked?

The bug that you refer is ID 169416 in Aruba OS 8.2.1? ID bug 183034 has relationship with the previous ID 169416?

Yes my configuration worke fine, excepted with this equipment zebra TC20. Today activeted the option 802.11R in the SSID where the problem occur.

Yes, bug 169416 specifically refers to a connectivity issue in specific situations when Multizone is enabled.

The datasheet on the TC20 says that it supports 802.11r, but you might want to email the manufacturer to see if there are any compatibility issues and if there is a software upgrade.  https://www.zebra.com/content/dam/zebra_new_ia/en-us/solutions-verticals/product/Mobile_Computers/Hand-Held%20Computers/tc20/spec-sheet/tc20-specification-sheet-en-us.pdf

Ok. Thanks for your help. But the bug 183034 have any relation with the bug 169416 ?

The vender of TC20 says that the problem is in aruba APS because sees the bug 183034, in my opininion if the problem was in arubas AP this causes problems in another equipments.

Both of those bugs are related to Enabling Multizone in specific.

Does the device work without enabling 802.11r?

I not found the option to disable 802.11r in the device TC20, i assume that the device have the option enabled by default. The devices Zebra MC33 works fine, when roaming AP.

By default 802.11r is not enabled in 8.3.  What is the last thing you changed before you saw the problems?  Did the TC20 ever work properly?

    Hi,

The device don't have the option to disable 802.11r. We will try update the device to the last version.
