  • 1.  Cluster exclude list not being applied

    Posted Oct 03, 2024 09:39 AM

We have two clusters configured under two virtual mobility masters running 8.10.0.14

    Cluster 1 is running 8.6

Newly added cluster 2 is running 8.10.0.14 with two 9240's

On the new cluster the vlan exclude list is not being applied. It is visible in GUI but the cluster remains at L3 connected. When checking via the CLI - 'sh lc-cluster exclude-vlan' there are no vlans listed.

We have tried adding it via CLI and GUI. Removing and re-adding and we also removed the controllers from the cluster and re-added

Any ideas please are much appreciated

I would recommend opening a case with TAC for this.

What does the hierarchy of your configuration look like?  At what node are you applying the exclude list?  Are there any configuration failures?

This is now resolved by TAC. Although no configuration errors or mismatched were found, issuing "ccm-debug full-config-sync" made the exclude list apply.

It's a bug. Replace the VLAN list with VLAN 1, then add the VLAN list back.

It happens when you remove a cluster member, and then add it back with the list still showing in the UI. I ran into the same thing when I had to rebuild clusters in production.
