    Hi

Good day! My customer has IAP environment using Aruba IAP 305, now they want to add Aruba AP 535 with IAP 305 as IAP mode. Please advise is there any challenge to both AP within single IAP configuration?

    I have checked,
Minimum Operating System Software Versions for AP 535
    ArubaOS
    Aruba InstantOS 8.5.0.0

Minimum Software Versions for IAP 305
    ArubaOS 6.5.1.0
    Aruba InstantOS 4.3.1.0

    Best Regards

As long as the AOS version of the IAP cluster will support both models, they should be able to be within the same cluster. I would note that there will be a difference in capabilities between these two APs, not only the 802.11 standard, but the 535 is a beefier and more robust hardware platform then the 305. I also  believe best practice is to keep the 802.11 standards the same in a physical space if possible, but I don't believe there is a technical problem with running these two together.

Here is a comparison between the two models for reference: https://www.arubanetworks.com/products/wireless/access-points/compare/#150581,66235

    Hope that helps, good luck!
