    Hi

I am planing to migrate a warehouse to aruba models AP 304 from an older Enterasys Wifi solution.

The clients currently used in the warehouse is Falcon X3+ Handscanncers from Datalogic.

My experience from a former migration,  is to check the clients compatiblity first.

Can anyone help with information how to check that this handscanner is compatible with Aruba ?   Or do someone you have experience with Falcon Handscanners ?

I would like to be proactive and avoid problems with the clients after installation of Aruba.

    Thanks in advance

    Henrik

    Hi Henrik,

you can find the Aruba interoperability list on:

    https://www.arubanetworks.com/support-services/interoperability/

As you can see there aren't any official interoperability with Datalogic devices.

By the way, Summit wireless cards are very poular on the handscanner, and for my experience we had a lot of problems with that kind of devices and new wireless deployment.

We made a lot of deployment with Aruba AP (Controller, controller-less, with old and new devices) also with other vendors.

The new AP wave2 seems not to work properly with old devices (handheld and forklift devices) with Windows CE.

You can find something more on this post:

    https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controllerless-Networks/Aruba-Instant-Client-disconnects/td-p/313901

I'm still looking for a working configuration of the wireless infrastructure and the client to solve the problem.

As i said this isn't only an Aruba specific problem, but I just hope it's a solvable problem.

    Regards

    Davide
