  • 1.  Controller ArubaOS 8.7.1.8 275 Outdoor APs

    Hi Everyone 

    I have deployed a VMware Controller ver 8.7.1.8, 8 indoor 207 access points and 2 275 outdoor access points. l added all the 10 APs and SSID into one AirGroup.
    The indoor APs are working fine but the outdoor 275 APs are not broadcasting any SSIDs l have trial licence for 25 APs 

    Please help

    Do the APs show up in the ap database "show ap database"
    Have you checked to see if the APs are stuck in instant mode? Try to access the APs IP by CLI/WebUI. If they are on a different subnet than the indoor APs, and controller discovery if not configured correctly they might boot up in instant mode.

    Also, what are the flags showing up for outdoor APs, you can get it from show ap database ​

    Hi,

    Also check for the power issues. Outdoor APs may need more power and if they cannot get, wont publish SSIDs.
