    Hi @Ronin101.

No. You can't upgrade. You need to migrate. Now your question is a little bit undefined. Do you want to move APs from AOS8 to AOS10 or controllers from AOS8 to AOS10.

For APs you just define a group of AOS10 type, setup a Firmware compliance and move APs to this new group. Unfortunately configuration can't be retained. You need to define it from scratch.

The main requirement is that you have valid subscriptions for Aruba Central. AOS10 is cloud only.

No i have 2 x 9004 Gateways in factory default settings. I want to connect them to Aruba Central (AOS 10), central subscription is already procured. Now i want to know that if i locally access the 9004 gateways and change the firmware from AOS8 to AOS10, will it work? if yes what steps do i need to take, like when it will reboot after upgrade to AOS10, can i assign it ip manually (i dont have dhcp server), or dhcp server is mandatory?

You can manually upload AOS10 and then do the startup configuration from console. It will work.

Just a small remark. Community is not a replacement for proper training and documentation :-) We can provide guidance and experience to help community members when they get stuck or encounter a problem they are not able to solve. In many occasions somebody has already encounter the problem and  maybe it has a working solution or workaround. Many members document their solutions here so others can find them.

    Hi,

    https://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/aos/aos10/migrate/gateways/

Use Static activate procedure, the FQDN for the device to connect to can be found here and choose ACP and not MM in the setup guide:

    https://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/central/latest/content/nms/device-mgmt/communication_ports.htm?Highlight=device%20communication#Domain2

Device url for EU-3 as example, device-eucentral3.central.arubanetworks.com

Make sure that the gateway is added to HPE Greenlake and licensed, create a group for AOS10 WLAN gateway and configure all you need.
