    Hi pals.

The 8360 16Y2C/32Y4C/48Y4C switches require configuration of interface groups (groups of 4 ports) to select speed of 50Gbps. When selected, the upper 2 ports (odd-numbered) in a group are disabled and both bottom ports (even-numbered) can support 50Gbps transceivers.

Do the bottom ports (even-numbered) can also support 100Mbps/1Gbps/10Gbps /25Gbps transceivers? or they ONLY support 50 Gbps transceivers?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, all the SFP28 ports can run at those speeds

The best source for currently supported transceivers is Transceiver Guide located at https://arubanetworking.hpe.com/techdocs/Switches/xcvrs/xcvr_guide/Content/home.htm

Ports 1-4 do not support 100M and 50G as they are macsec ports. When you select group speed 50G only supported speed for two lower ports is 50G.

I think I should give more context to my question.

Talking about 8360 32Y4C model with AoS CX 10.15:
Command: system interface-group, configures speed for an interface group.
    Syntax: system interface-group <GROUP> speed <SPEED>
Parameter <SPEED>, configures transceiver speed (10g, 25g or 50g) for a group. Default is 25g.

Suppose I enter the following command:
    system interface-group 3 speed 25g

Does this allow 1 Gbps, 10 Gbps or 25 Gbps transceivers in the four member ports of the group, or it only allows 25 Gbps transceivers in those ports?

What if the command is: system interface-group 3 speed 50g ? does it allow 1 Gbps, 10 Gbps, 25 Gbps or 50 Gbps transceivers in only the 2 bottom member ports of the group, or it only allows 50 Gbps transceivers in those 2 ports?

What if the command is: system interface-group 3 speed 10g ? Does this allow 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps transceivers in the four member ports of the group or it only allows 10 Gbps transceivers?

Note: I think everybody uses Intangi IRIS, if you configure this switch, you can see that ports 5 to 32 can support 100M SFP transceivers (J9054D). Is this an error, because support for this transceiver is no mentioned in the transceiver guide.

    Regards

    Hi.

When you select 50G speed on the group, only 50G SFP56 transceivers will work.

On 25G all other will work except in ports 1-4.
