    I have been connecting uplinks and doing IRF between comware switches using HPE X240 10G SFP+ SFP+  X(0.65, 1.2, 3, 5) m DAC Cables and HPE x240 40G QSFP+QSFP+ (1,3,5) m DAC Cable

Can I use this cables for uplink and/or IRF?

    HPE X240 10G SFP+ SFP+  X(0.65, 1.2, 3, 5) m DAC C-Cables.

    HPE x240 40G QSFP+QSFP+ (710,20) m AOC Cable.

We use HPE x240 40G DAC for IRF links between our 5900 switches, and they have been working perfectly for the past three years.

Yes, you can...but, as always, CHECK first the most updated IRF Configuration Guide of the Switch Series for which you are planning the IRF...that's to understand about any known restriction and about configuration guidelines (e.g. especially about IRF Physical Interface and IRF Link Redudancy requirements); not always QSFP+ can be used (as example: HPE FlexNetwork 5130 EI and HI Switch Series, IMHO, can't use QSFP+ DAC Cables as happens normally on HPE FlexFabric 5900 Switch Series).

For the benefit of all of us:

    • DAC C-Cable = DAC Campus Cable
    • DAC AOC = DAC AOC (Active Optical Cable).
