  • 1.  Default login Info for R1Q04B AirWave Server?

    Posted Oct 19, 2024 02:07 PM

We just received a new AirWave Server (PN R1Q04B) and are trying to login to it.  It is brand new , right out of the box, and we are having trouble logging in.  Can anyone tell me the proper initial default login for a server right out of the box?

We are a little concerned that it did not start up in an initial setup mode.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Not 100% sure, but I believe you should install the appliance from the ISO image for the most recent version, that you can download from the support website (link to documentation).

If the appliance is installed with Airwave, you may try the username appadmin, and possible passwords are an empty one (just press enter on the password prompt), or password admin, airwave or aruba. If that doesn't work, reinstallation is quickest, contact TAC may be a good alternative.

If its AirWave installed server, once you setup Network details, it will ask for 'ampadmin' credentials. unless the username is change.

Credentials for UI would be 'admin' and password is what is setup in above step. For CLi, it will be credentials that are set as above.

How I read the original question, is that this appliance is asking for a username and password out of the box, so it's not showing an installation wizard or offering to set network details and password.

It has been a while since I got an Airwave hardware appliance, so not sure if it should start with the network details at first start, or that a clean install of Airwave is needed or recommended.

As per documentation username should be root and password admin. https://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/AirWave/8304/AirWave_8.3.0.4_Installation_Guide.pdf
