  • 1.  Different routing depending on source address

We moved our L2 switching to Aruba CX and we are planning to move our edge router to a CX 8100 or 8360.

I am currently trying to see if it can replace our current setup and has all the feature required.

There is one thing I am not sure how to do:

The router has a static routing table for default route on WAN and multiple routes for our internal network LAN (our topology is simple, we have one subnet per vlan).

All vlan uses the same routing, except one.

How can I configure that one vlan in particular has another next hop than the other ones? Also, in addition to a whole vlan, I have a single host that I also want to direct to another router. (that particular host is on a vlan that should be using default routes, only that host should use different route).

You are referring to Policy Based Routing. 8360 and 8100 do support PBR but you will have to configure it.

also if you are trying to use CX simulator and configure PBR, I don think it is supported.

    Thanks.

I did setup the simulator to try it out, but if it is not supported I guess I'll have to get my hand on the actual device.
