Edgeconnects will try to reach the portal over any interface. Mgmt0 is not required for normal operation on any model, but can be useful if you have a separate management network.
Have a look under the "management services" in either the templates of the local GUI. You'll find that management services are set for "any" interface by default.
Personally, I find mgmt1 more useful than mgmt0. On a default EC-10104 you'll see that lan0 acts as mgmt1 (i.e. set to 169.254.0.1/16)

In a branch where there are 2 wan connections (mpls and internet) and 1 lan connection, how do we handle mgmt0? as far as i know we need mgmt0 to contact orchestrator. But in this case, what shall we do? i am kinda lost here.
