  • 1.  Editing configurations for offline switches

    Posted Apr 26, 2025 12:30 PM

    Hello,

I have on-boarded several switches to Central, gave name, management addresses and lag configurations to them and now they are waiting transportation to install site in next two weeks so they will be offline for the moment now.

I had plan to do configurations to switches while they are offline waiting installation but I have noted that I cannot do configuration changes through webUI by selecting device and using Device configuration features. Is this how it should work or do I miss something?

MultiEdit seems to give me change to alter configuration but can I assume that when switches comes back online all configurations made while they were offline?

yes through multiedit you can do it.

Also you can use Central automation Studio which is frontend to the Aruba Central APIs.

Thank you! So I can do configuration through MultiEdit while switches are offline.

Central Automation Studio is new one to me. Have to check that one out.
