    Dear All,

    about onboard licensing,

currently we have about 260 authentication in 1 day,

and we already configure radius accounting to clearpass server,

but somehow, license of onboard is overrun since 10 march 2021,

why this is happening ? because as far as i know, the license of onboard is refreshed after 24 hour based on user active,

    kindly need help, thankyou all,

Onboard licence is by user register on the onboard and not by user active

    ------------------------------
PowerArubaSW : Powershell Module to use Aruba Switch API for Vlan, VlanPorts, LACP, LLDP...

PowerArubaCP: Powershell Module to use ClearPass API (create NAD, Guest...)

PowerArubaCX: Powershell Module to use ArubaCX API (get interface/vlan/ports info)..

To add to Alexis comment, the Onboard license usage is derived from CPPM created certificates / user and until these certificates expire they will take a license from Onboard.regardless of if they were used for authN or anything else.

I'd suggest investigating who/what has created your certificates, is it from a traditional BYOD Onboarding workflow or has it come from maybe some MDM SCEP/EST integration where 3rd parties are sending CSR's to CPPM to have CPPM create the cert and return it back... this process will use a Onboard license as will any other where the device certificate is created on CPPM.

Just clarify, Onboard is licensed by username. Ex: "tim" and "tim@airheads.com" would consume 2 Onboard licenses.

Always require fully qualified usernames (for many reasons, but this being one of them).
