we have a customer that has read the following document:

Specifically
FTP (TCP port 21).
- TFTP (UDP port 69)
they have said that their security policy does not allow them to use protocols with plaintext auth.
he has asked if its possible to use encrypted FTP or SCP
could anyone explain what is FTP needed for?
