    Prompt may be used in the 3Com 2952-SFP (now HP 1910-48G JE009A) third-party modules, such as GIGALINK GL-OT-SG08SC1-1550-1310-D? or just use the original (recommended) HP

    If I were you I'll go with an original (genuine) HPE Transceiver (1G SFP BiDi Transceivers JD098B or JD099B?) for you HPE OfficeConnect 1910-48G Switch (ex 3Com Baseline Plus Switch 2952)...just to avoid any potential incompatibility issue you're not aware of (some third-party transceivers may be recognized, some others may not be recognized) and to stay safe.

    OTOH if you already own/have that transceiver...you may try a test to see if the HPE 1910 will be able to correctly recognize it.
