  • 1.  HP 2530 Switch Configuration

    Hello everyone. I am trying to configure a 2530 hp switch using Putty using a serial cable but I can"t even manage to ping the switch .  I tried some cli that  I found online but  it didnt work. Can anyone please educate me on the proper way to configure the switch .

    Hello Shafiq_Rahman!

    Could you clarify what difficulties you have - issues with serial (console) connection (like there is no output from the switch, or CLI does not react on key strokes etc.) or the console connection works fine, but you can't manage to orientate yourself in the interface? Any details, like output from Putty that could illustrate the situation will be helpful.

    Hi Shafiq,

    As Ivan advised please share more information on the issue. 

    Have you checked if the COM port is correct. Please find link below for a switch initial set up video. 

    its not the same model however commands are similar.  I hope this helps.
