    Has anybody seen this error message in a 5406ZL premium edge runnning vrrp.?

    Can you post your config?

     

    Just a thought, since you mention VRRP.. are you trying to source the syslog messages from a virtual VRRP-IP? I dont think thats supported.

    standard A VRRP packet could not be sent out for the specified VR on the

    specified VLAN due to a system-dependent problem. If packets

    could not be sent out, the expected protocol operation may be

    hampered.

    check VR ID and VLAN config each switch

    Hi guys,

     

     

    logging 172.16.6.95

    logging facility syslog

    ip source-interface Syslog vlan 1

     

    just removed an invallid logging server (which was unreacheable) out of the configuratie. cleared the event log en now wait.. if the message wil return.

     

    vrrp config is oke, vlan's en router id checked!

    i let you know if its solved.

    Problem solved. invalid logging server ip adres removed.
