    HP A5500 EI , IRF with Direct Attach Copper Cable (DAC) 10G cable?

     

    I hve 

    JD377A HP A5500-24G EI SWITCH WITH 2 INTERFACE SLOTS
    JD368B HP 2-PORT 10-GBE SFP+ A5500/E4800/E4500 MODULE

     

    I will be config HP A5500 EI for IRF on Data Center!

    can use Direct Attach Copper Cable (DAC) 10G cable?? (EX : JD095C  or JD096C )

    Good question. My current IRF stack has:

    JD377A 5500EI-24 switch
    JD360B 2-port 10GbE Local Connect Module
    JE054A 50cm CX4 Cable

    The cables are invisible as far as IRF is concerned, so i would guess that as long as you're using a supported module, they should work. But i can't confirm that officially - make sure your HP reseller confirms compatibility before you buy.

    Yes it will work, IRF works over any supported 10G link, CX4, DAC, w/e doesnt matter. If you're using it for pure IRF stack though the local connect module and CX4 cables are way cheaper than the SFP+ module and DAC cables.
