Dear All 

Requesting your help to find Latest firmware of  HP J9477A Switch 8206zl. I couldnt find the firmware of this switch from the following link.  Current version is K.15.12.0012

Once into "Download options" you will be able to find what you're looking for: the HP ProCurve 8200 zl Switch Series, in particular the 8206 zl unit (J9475A, the J9477A is the Chassis product number), has this software page.

The K.15.12.0012 is quite old (October 2013) and development was stopped on May 2015 with its latest release K.15.12.0016...that's all for the K.15.12 software branch.

Actually one of the current available releases (there are still two branches updated for maintenance) is the K.15.18.0013 (September 2016) of the K.15.18 software branch.

Always read the relevant Release Notes before attempting an upgrade (to be informed about update best practices, update guidelines and update restrictions <-- especially about BootROM interim/intermediate update step required before going to the latest because you're running a quite old K.15.12 software version).

As per My Understanding, if this is the software I need and my Bootrom version is
Boot ROM Version : K.15.30  , what should i do.? Should i update directly to K.15.18.0013 ?

Please provide the output of show version and show flash commands.

It all depends on which Software image (and, as a consequence, which related BootROM version) your switch is currently running on.

If you read the K.15.18.0013 Release Notes document , at page 38/39 you will be able to find this schema:

so if your Switch software isn't between K.15.15.xxxx and K.15.18.xxxx (and you wrote you have an old K.15.12.0012 in your very first post) then you probably need to update your Switch software first to an intermediate version before performing the latest update step to the latest K.15.18.0013 software version, the intermediate version I mean (that's what is reported above) should be the K15.15.0014...it will automatically provide the BootROM version K.15.30 required.

OK, since the BootROM is already at K.15.30 you are free to update directly into the latest K.15.18.0013 (MM redudancy considerations apart).
