Hello,
Have you tried connecting with an RS232 to RJ45 cable on the CON/AUX port? Try if you can connect to this port instead of the USB port.
The speed and other settings would be the same, the cable type is different.
Does your PC recognise the driver? Another option if you don't have RS232 cable, is to try to install the drivers.
For micro-usb from this page:

Let us know how it goes.
Regards

Subject: I can't connect to the router using the console cable
hpe msr2003 router
I follow the instructions
On the PC, start a terminal emulation program (HyperTerminal, PuTTY, or similar) and configure
it to use the following settings:
• Baud Rate: 9600
• Data Bits: 8
• Stop Bits: 1
• Parity: None
• Flow Control: None
I use a mini usb cable and PuTTY.
I can't connect to the router, no reaction, just a dark window. Help
