  • 1.  I have a 7030 controller with ap 215's that are using only channel 44 and 48 on the a band

I have a 7030 controller running 6.4.2.6 code with 11 AP 215's attached.   what I have noticed is that they are all using channel 44 or 48 on the a band.   The B band they are using 1,6,11 as I would expect.

what would be the cause of this?

    - What regulatory domain?

    - Are you using 80 mhz channels (E)?

    - Do you have ARM Client-Aware enabled (it is on by default).

    the regulatory domain is JP3

    yes client aware is enabled,

I thought 80mhz channels where not available but I just checked and it has been anabled.

You should see what allowed channels are by doing this:

    show ap allowed-channels ap-name <name of ap>

Then you should probably download the latest DRT (Downloadable Regulatory Table) to properly enable the AP215 for the Japan regulatory domain:  https://support.arubanetworks.com/DownloadSoftware/tabid/75/DMXModule/510/EntryId/18212/Default.aspx

    Well,

What is the regulatory domain assigned to those access points and have any channels been removed from it?  If not, you should open a TAC case.

I did not even check to see what channels where allowed  in the config!  that was the issue the only options a 40, 44, and 48    so ..... will have to make that change.    Thanks for your replies.
