    Hello

I Have some switches HP A5500-48G-4SFP HI and few of them have issue IRF.

For unknown reasons, the IRF Master switch 1 has been rebooted and is currently running as a Slave.

It's the state when I entered the Command.

    -------------------------------------------------------

    <hostname>display irf

    switch       role        priority

       1            slave           32

    *+2         master         16

    -------------------------------------------------------

Is it okay to operate the network in its current state?

And If I have to set Switch 1 to Master, what should I do?

    Hi.

It doesn't matter who the master and who the slave switch is. In the case of master going down, then next master is selected to assume master role in the IRF. It's by design that any switch in the IRF stack can become the master. It does not affect the operation of the stack.

    Best, Gorazd
