Controllerless Networks

Hi,

I've been asked from 1 of our customers whether the iAP 205 devices support spectrum monitoring? I've done some googling and I know they're able to do air monitoring for spectrum analysis (dedicated, hybid etc).... is this the same thing as 'Spectrum Monitoring'? As a Aruba link I read said Spectrum Monitoring was only supported on the 105, 134 and 135 devices.... so just wondering if this is a different feature restricted to certain hardware.

The only reason I'm questioning this is our customers 'technical person' is adament there's a full spectrum monitoring feature that can show graphs of useage, interference etc direct on the Aps!

Make sure you get a demo and they see what is actually available on the interface.  The instant by itself is pretty limited, I believe if you have a controller the 205 has more options.
