  • 1.  IAP-325 WebUI does not accept the Country code (firmware 8.11.2.1_88699)

    On an IAP-325, I upgraded the firmware to 8.11.2.1_88699 (from 8.10) via the WebUI interface. 

    After the upgrade, I did a factory reset on the device for installation at another location. 

    On boot, I noticed a couple of quirks:

    1. The web username: admin and password <device serial number>  does not work.  I tried the older "admin/admin" that logged me into the device!
    2. At first login, the device presents the country code selection.  I select the US as the country code and click the "OK" button.  Nothing happens! (screenshot below)

    Any suggestions on how to make it operational again would be sincerely appreciated.

    [SOLVED]

    Clicking on the "Upgrading your AP" link, I was able to navigate the "Firmware" page.  Luckily I have an 8.7 factory image.  I applied it and the device "upgraded" successfully.  I am back to an 8.7 "factory" image.

    The 325 is parked on 8.10, I'm a bit surprised you got an 8.11.anything image to load.

    Yes, I was surprised as well.  I had tried to upgrade to 8.11 earlier but on reboot, the device would revert to 8.10.  So when I did a factory reset and tried to log in, I was surprised it would not accept the device serial number as the password.  It was sheer brute force that admin/admin worked and then I noticed it was on 8.11.

    Anyway, I was able to revert to an 8.7 factory image and will keep it there until a newer "factory" image is released.

    The firmware page allows an upgrade to 8.11 from 8.7 (screenshot below).  Shouldn't it be limited to 8.10 if the 325s are parked on 8.10?

    Unfortunately, the AP-325 shares a platform image (Hercules) with another AP that is supported in 8.11. The code to detect if there is an update available is based on the platform image.
