  • 1.  IAP 510 goes unreachable when second IAP bootsup.

    Hi All,

       I am New to HP Aruba. I am trying to setup IAP cluster from 2 IAP. IAP are connected to Hp Aruba aruba 2930m through Smart Rate module.  I have configure Smart rate moduel port as Trunk (tagged vlan 100 and 5 and untagged vlan 10). I booted up first IAP and configured SSID for vlan 100 and 5 and virtual controller ip . Next when I bootup second IAP I loose connection all IAP.  Please help.

     

    All brand new IAP 510 series with 8.4.x firmware.

    Could be a few reasons, firs that comes to mind is a duplicate IP address? Do you see anything in the IAP/switch logs? Do the ports stay up?

    Thanks for quick reply. Port stays form Aruba 2930 point of view. No duplicate ip. 

     

    Update :

    I just did quick test by putting Aruba 2930 port to access mode(vlan 10 ) rather then trunk mode everyting works fine.
