I did not, the AP I own isn't covered under our support agreement. I picked it up used for use at my home, and testing prior to deploying to prod. Figured that would be a no-go opening a TAC case... I figured posting here was the next best option in hopes to bring attention to the issue. My apologies if that's not encouraged.

Did you open a case with TAC by chance?

Hey, sorry for the delay.. Very easy to reproduce, I enabled IPM, applied/saved, rebooted the 535 AP and it's showing the reduced spatial streams again. I do have it in a weatherproof enclosure; but I popped it open, LEDs are both green even though IPM is reducing the spatial streams. No amber or orange light.

Interesting. Is this pretty easy to reproduce? When IPM is on and the AP runs in 2x2 mode, does the system LED turn to amber as well (supposed to happen when in restricted mode)?

Confirmed it's an IPM bug... Disabling IPM resolved the issue.
Disabled IPM on the controller, commit apply.. Rebooted the AP in question. After reboot, from the client prespective I'm seeing 4 streams and max speed of 2402 as opposed to 1201. I'll go through the motions of seeing if I can get a ticket opened or reported through my SE... Good to know there's a workaround; and I'm sure the bug will be resolved in future itirations. -- Thanks!

You could try disabling IPM, if you do not need the USB port and second ethernet. It sounds like IPM may have applied a power restriction (reduce radio to 2x2 mode), although there should not be a reason for that, and your CLI output does not confirm that.

Hi everyone,
After upgrading my IAP cluster (consisting of 635s and a single 535) to firmware version 8.10.0.16, I noticed that the AP-535 is incorrectly reporting only 2 spatial streams. I also tested version 8.12.0.4 and observed the same behavior. However, when running earlier firmware versions (8.10.0.15 and prior), the AP-535 correctly reports 4 spatial streams.
This issue is impacting throughput-3x3 AC clients are only able to negotiate 866 Mbps instead of the expected 1300 Mbps. The 635s, on the other hand, are performing as expected and reporting accurately.
I'm using Wi-Fi Explorer on macOS to check HE capabilities and stream counts, and I've confirmed the same results using a Windows client with Acrylic.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or have any recommendations for troubleshooting? As a temporary workaround, downgrading the firmware restores the correct stream count.
Additionally, I verified the power management stats are reporting correctly from the AP CLI:
