  • 1.  IAP discovery uses native vlan?

Does IAP discovery require use of a native vlan?

We are planning a network topology refresh, and were thinking about our use of the native vlan.  Is this utilized in the IAP discovery process, when a new AP is added to an existing network that has a Master in place?  I know you can configure an IAP to use a specific vlan for management, however, out of the box, what does the IAP follow?  I assume native, because it knows nothing else at that point?  If so, what is the Aruba best practice for getting the IAP discovered, without use of the native vlan out of the box?

It uses the untagged VLAN on the switchport, by default.
