    Hi

Can we choose VC IP be in the same subnet and VLAN as IAP Subnet and VLAN.
If I give my IAPs range of 192.168.1.0.
Do I have to use the VC IP from the same subnet and vlan. Or should it be different?

You can choose to configure VC IP in a different subnet as well, using a new configuration feature added.

However it is recommended, that you keep VC IP in the same subnet as IAP subnet.

    Okay got it. Thanks

If i want to prevent guest users connecting to WeBUI of Virtual controller, Can i deny them by putting VC IP address in the wizard as a particular server.

Under Security, Inboud Firewall, you can configure the subnets that can access to management. That'd solve your issue.

However, if you have an external captive portal you can also deny it on the role.

    Hi.

Can someone please explain this to me then (from Aruba central):

Output of show ap debug cloud-config-received
virtual-controller-vlan 16 [IP MASK of vlan 16] [IP address of the gateway for vlan 16] -->Execution aborted, remaining commands are not executed. (Command fail: 'Error: VC vlan configurations is not allowed if VC-IP is in same subnet as AP-IP.'
