Many thanks for the response. The switch that I was trying for batch execution was on a different network and there was reachability issues. Now it got fixed and working.
But as for the automated backup, I am trying on the switches in the same segment, but still getting the same error.
Not sure what it cud be if anyone can help.

when you click on the failed to execute script you will find more information reg the issue from the switch CLI. If the connection times out then the first thing you need to check is if any FW/antivirus is blocking TCP port 22 on the IMC server. I just had a case and was able to reproduce the error in the lab when I created inbound rule blocking TCP port 22

I have recently installed IMC Enterprise Version 7.3 and was trying to do configuration template so that i can push the same config to a set of switches. But it gives the attached error(config template). i have verified the cli commands multiple times on switch and verified it to be correct. and for telnet username and pwd, i have removed the switch from management and added again and again giving the correct telnet un/pwd. But the error persists.
Also i was trying the automatic configuration backup which gives the attached error too(Auto Backup)... For configuration backup i have a single scheduled task to backup core switch and edge switches where the backup of core switches is always a success, edge switches fail giving the attached error.
