  • 1.  Inquiries about kernel logs occurring on the Aruba 7000 controller

    Posted Feb 06, 2024 10:35 AM

    Hi, everyone here.

I was informed by a customer today that the kernel log as below is occurring after OS upgrade.

    Feb 5 08:20:00 2024 KERNEL(AP@x.x.x.x): [135527.067521] wif_sysctl_hostport: 10 callbacks suppressed
    Feb 5 08:20:07 2024 KERNEL(AP@x.x.x.x): [135518.574576] wif_sysctl_hostport: 1 callbacks suppressed
    Feb 5 08:20:21 2024 KERNEL(AP@x.x.x.x): [135548.679414] wif_sysctl_hostport: 8 callbacks suppressed
    Feb 5 08:20:24 2024 KERNEL((AP@x.x.x.x): [135657.047289] wif_sysctl_hostport: 6 callbacks suppressed
    Feb 5 08:20:41 2024 KERNEL(AP@x.x.x.x): [135565.381859] wif_sysctl_hostport: 3 callbacks suppressed
    Feb 5 08:20:46 2024 KERNEL(AP@x.x.x.x): [135572.994491] wif_sysctl_hostport: 6 callbacks suppressed
    Feb 5 08:21:00 2024 KERNEL(AP@x.x.x.x): [135571.155392] wif_sysctl_hostport: 1 callbacks suppressed
    Feb 5 08:21:06 2024 KERNEL(AP@x.x.x.x): [135590.403700] wif_sysctl_hostport: 3 callbacks suppressed
    Feb 5 08:21:09 2024 KERNEL(AP@x.x.x.x)): [135596.001502] wif_sysctl_hostport: 7 callbacks suppressed

There is no problem with the service, and only kernel logs continue to appear, and I searched to determine the cause
    I couldn't find the content I wanted.

May I know what this is about?
    Please reply.

    Regards.

These messages do not give enough information for us to help provide you context because these Kernel debug statements are too generic. There are lots of reasons they could appear.

    Dear Josh,

There's nothing wrong with the current service
They say we don't have to proceed with the case opening.

I'm sorry for the late response.

    Hello, schmelzle.

As I said, it is difficult to clearly identify the cause, so let's check the log additionally.

    Thank you.

    Regards

Please collect the relevant tech-support logs for the controller and open a TAC case requesting them to review.

    Hi Ysh,

I'm experiencing the same issue based on the logs. Have you reached out to TAC regarding this?

Could you please update on the resolution?

    Thanks a lot
