J9150A of 10G SFP + LC SR transceiver is not recognized on Aruba 5406R zl2

    When I installed SFP (J9150A) on Aruba5406R zl2 , the SFP is not recognized.

    * I heard from HPE in the past that J9150A is supported on Aruba5406R zl2.

    As for modules equipped with SFP, I tried both Aruba 5406 8P 10G SFP + Mod v3 and v2, but neither recognized.

      The situation is below, but is there any way to deal with it?

    Is your Aruba 5400R zl2 Switch running with ArubaOS-Switch version equal or - better - newer than KB.15.17 ?

    AFAIK J9993A Module requires KB.15.17 or newer to support J9150A/J9150D SFP+ Transcerivers...check with show version or show flash commands.

    Actually very latest ArubaOS-Switch is, respectively for each actively developed Software Branch (with release during 2019):

    • KB.16.09.0004
    • KB.16.08.0006
    • KB.16.07.0006
    • KB.16.06.0012
    • KB.16.05.0013
    • KB.16.04.0018
    • KB.16.02.0027

    Latest KB.15.17 was KB.15.17.0013 (Year 2016). References here.
