  • 1.  Laptops not connecting to closest IAP-205

    Hello everyone,

     

    I have a client that has a bunch of dell latitude laptops. We recently installed some new IAP-205 with the lastest firmware. I made a new SSID, hidden, and using WPA2-PSK.

     

    What are some of the first things you would check on why the laptops can't connect?

    Does it work if you broadcast the SSID rather than select it as hidden?

    One of the first things that I would try is to update the wireless card driver in the laptops. Most of my sticky client issues are resolved by making sure they're up to date since most of the roaming decisions are made by the client.
