Licence transfer for IMC 5.1 to 7.3

  • 1.  Licence transfer for IMC 5.1 to 7.3

    i have a active version of imc5.1 and i want to transfer the licence to the trial version of 7.3 before the 60 days expirey happens

    can i do it?

    if so where is the licence file located in 5.1?

    also will i need to uninstall components that i'm not licenced for or will they automatically be diabled when licence is applied?

    The license is assocated with a system ID. You won't be able to just transfer a file on the system. You'll need to contact support to get a new license keyed to your new system ID. If you upgraded the existing system, I think the 5.x licenses will keep working.

    From memory, the system keeps working with unlicensed modules, but those modules don't work and you'll get warnings. I would recommend undeploying them.
