    Dear Experts,

A customer wants to migrate existing license from 7205 controller to 7240 controllers. I saw transfer license option on LMS portal. Is there any Aruba TAC involvement required? if we migrate the license from one controller to another, what will happen to the already installed license? how they will expire or can customer continue to use them as well?

You should be able to do the license migration through LMS; if that doesn't work for some reason (example if you have moved the license before; or if the licenses in not shown in LMS), work with TAC.

The existing license will stay on the controller, but during the migration you agree/promise to decommission the old controller and you will remove/wipe the license. If you use a single license on two controllers, you violate the license agreement; but if you do that during the migration (for a limited amount of time, few days, few weeks), you probably are fine.
