Hello all,
we're experiencing an interesting behavior in our customer's environment.
Setup: AOS10 Gateway Cluster of 2x9240, 6200 Access Switches with UBT and Wireless tunneled SSIDs.
They are using WSUS (Windows Software Update Service) with Delivery Optimization to redistribute Windows Updates P2P within the Network. It uses TCP 7680 for the Discovery of Peers.
We see TCP 7680 traffic from UBT Clients to the gateway.
If the destination client is offline --> the packets are Redirected between the gateways of the cluster (as they do not know where to find the destination client). The Packets is looping between the gateways via the distribution switch. On the Distribution Switch we see high move counts in show mac-address-table mac-move.
We guess that it is caused by the WSUS as it's TCP Port 7680 only (from our analysis so far) and only for wired clients (Gateway cluster is configured correctly, without default gateway mode).
We're wondering why the WSUS sends TCP Traffic to offline clients IP addresses.
Has anyone experienced a similar behavior for such a MacFlap within a gateway cluster? If yes, are you using WSUS?
Thanks a lot!
