    Hello,

When designing WLANs for crowded spaces I often get to the typical question about the maximum concurrent users I can have connected and having traffic with different APs. Why is this number such a mistery?

Could someone please give me the recommended maximum concurrent users for:

    103

    205

    215

    225

    315

    325

If not possible to have all the APs please help me with the known ones.

    Thanks!

Take a look at the Very High Density VRD. It's never a concrete answer. It varies by environment.

    From memory-

AP-225 can associate 255 clients. Best practices say 150 clients maximum. Default config only allows 80 associations. 80 on a single AP would perform poorly in most cases.

Number of associations is not a valueable metric for HD design. You have to think about the use case. Sure an AP may allow hundreds of associations, but imagine if all clients were streaming HD video. That design would perform poorly.

No easy answer to this question. You'll have to get familiar with the Aruba design guides.
