  • 1.  MC PLAT 7.3 (E0710) Standard Edition Updates

    Dear All 

    I am currently using MC PLAT 7.3 (E0710) Standard Edition and have noticed that there haven't been any updates since July 2023. I'm facing an issue with the SMTP configuration, as it still only allows the old methods of TLS/SSL (TLS version 1.1 or 1.2) or None. Given the recent security measures with Multi-Factor Authentication, there should be an "OAuth" authentication type option in HP IMC, but I don't see that available. Could you please assist me with this? Thank you.

    Hi Omar, the final part of your statement: "I am currently using MC PLAT 7.3 (E0710) Standard Edition and have noticed that there haven't been any updates since July 2023." is not totally accurate: after the GA release of HPE IMC Platform 7.3 E0710 on July 2023, at least three newer builds have been published by HPE Aruba (an Hotfix and two Patches):
    • HPE IMC 7.3 E0710 P04 (03-06-2024)
    • HPE IMC 7.3 E0710 P03 (07-02-2024)
    • HPE IMC 7.3 E0710 H02 (01-12-2023)
    • HPE IMC 7.3 E0710 (27-07-2023)
    Given the above, you should be able to update your HPE IMC 7.3 E0710 platform [*] to at least E0710 P04.

    In any case, please read the relevant Release Notes for all the details (Fixes), restrictions and requirements before updating.

    Also have a look at Module Compatibility Matrix for IMC Standard & Enterprise 7.3 (E0710) document, published on ASP 31-07-2023 (not very updated...but better than nothing).

    [*] Do not forget to check and eventually update 
    deployed modules.

    Did "P04" refer to patches or the difference product?

    Yes, you will be able to update to E0710 P04 directly from E0710 (given you're going to apply a Patch you're able to perform a single jump update, it's a simple update not an upgrade).

    P04 means Patch 04 of E0710 (in this context, that Patch refers precisely to the HPE IMC 7.3 E0710 Platform). At the end of the update process your version will become E0710P04.

    Hi Omar,

    in the current iMC version - 7.3 (E0710P04) there is no support added for TLS 1.3, there is also no multi-factor-authentication. We are expecting the newest version - 710P06 every moment, you can check the release notes of that version as soon as we have it available for free download, to see if those features will be added or not.
