Controllerless Networks

Hi guys, 

I thought i already started this but could not see any information so I thought I enter it again.

I have 2 AP375

This is what I want to acheive

internet -> Switch -> AP375 (PORTAL) -> AP375 (POINT)

both are running frimware 8.12.0.1_89864 (Digitally Signed Production build

I belve I am folloing the steps correctly as detailed as I did havea nother system working before.

plug both units to switch

let them get IP address in same network

turn Extended ESSID OFF

disconnect one unit (the non controller unit)

and plug it on with PoE only (no ethernet lan connection)

what I was seeing was the AP that was to be a POINT was a Client on the controller/Portal AP?

can someone please  shed some light on what is happening and what step am I  missing?

Is the SW/firmware version wrong?

I also had trouble setting up a point to point connection.

I used the folowing guide that helped me a lot:

Aruba Instant Mesh Point to Point youtu.be

He uses the old interface but you can find the option also in the new interface.
