  • 1.  Migrating Airwave to Central

    Hi, 
    Currently we are wokring on migration prcoess from Airwave to Central, we want to migrate the following: 
    - Devices in the up state 
    - Visual RFs

    The number of devices and Wirless controllers is very big. I wanted to ask if any of you have had an similar experience that can benefit me in this process. 
    I have thought about involving APIs. Airwave's API does seem to be limited comparing to Central. As you know in order to add the devices in the Central we need to get the device Mac and Serial and then push those to Central. Idk regarding visual RFs for now. 

    Any suggestions? has anyone done it before? im talking about thousands of devices here. doing this task manually is so bad. Has ARUBA thought about similar cases for their customers? 

    Any feedback will be valuable, thanks.

    you should be able to export floorplans from Airwave and then import it to Central VisualRF which is under Sites.
    the imported file includes the AP location and MAC address of the APs so the import can be done before the APs are added/licensed in Central.
